Upgrading the wastewater treatment plant in Domžale go according to plan

From November 2015 WWTP Domžale - Kamnik already running half of the new part of the biological rate and at the same time builds up the other half. The first two SBR biological pools operate in line with expectations, as confirmed by measurement at the outlet. The results of cleaning are already at this stage better than before the upgrade. Most of the work currently being carried out on the other two SBR sequential pools and the property of reducing nitrogen blatnenici and at the point of entry facility incorporating reception sludge. The construction of the inlet facility will increase operating safety, it is allowed to effective elimination of sand and larger particles, regulate the hydraulic influent WWTP, increase the amount of coarse purification of rainwater and reduce air emissions. By the end of April were carried out works worth more than € 9.5 million excluding VAT, which is about 64% of the total value of the contract.

By upgrading the biological levels of water lines will be improved cleaning effect and thus the quality of the effluent, which will significantly contribute to reducing the pollution of the river Kamniška Bistrica, which will be placed in a better ecological status. At the same time CCN will be adopted and cleaning large quantities of waste water from the rainfall mixed sewerage network. It will be ensured safe operation within statutory limits and standards and reduced excessively polluting the environment.

After the completion of the project, the citizens will live in a cleaner environment, which contributes to a better quality of life.
