Work has started in early June 2014 and included the construction of sewage system in the area north of Menges (the area above the discharge relief valve) and area under the Grobeljsko road (south-eastern part of the city). Part of the project is to upgrade the wastewater treatment plant Domžale - Kamnik, where they built the entire sewer system is also concluded. Upgrade of existing wastewater treatment plant, which is still ongoing, is divided into tertiary biological treatment technology sequencing batch reactor - SBR and construction of the input object to the adoption of the cesspool sludge, which will increase the operational safety, allow the efficient secretion of sand and larger particles, arrange appropriate hydraulics to flow to the central wastewater treatment plant increased amounts of coarse purification of rainwater and reduce air emissions.
